Integrity Policy & Code of Conduct

At Soundtrack of the Plastic Age, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for everyone involved in our activities, including artists, audiences, staff, volunteers, partners, contractors, media representatives, and participants.

We invite everyone to participate in Soundtrack of the Plastic Age in a spirit of curiosity, creativity, openness, respect, and collaboration. We believe that meaningful artistic exchange can only thrive in an environment built on trust, integrity, and mutual respect.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abuse, or any form of inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated during our performances, workshops, rehearsals, meetings, or online activities.

This document outlines our integrity principles, expected standards of behaviour, reporting procedures, and response mechanisms for addressing integrity concerns.

Expected Behaviour

By participating in our activities, you agree to:

  • Treat everyone with dignity, respect, and professionalism.

  • Respect personal boundaries and individual differences.

  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.

  • Respect confidentiality where requested.

  • Follow all applicable health and safety guidance.

  • Avoid disruptive or intimidating behaviour.

  • Help create a positive experience for everyone involved.

  • Raise concerns if you witness behaviour that may compromise the safety or wellbeing of others.

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following behaviours are considered unacceptable:

  • Sexual harassment, abuse, or unwanted sexual attention.

  • Physical violence, threats, or intimidation.

  • Verbal abuse, bullying, or aggressive behaviour.

  • Discrimination based on gender, age, disability, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.

  • Hate speech or discriminatory conduct.

  • Abuse of authority or position.

  • Stalking or persistent unwanted contact.

  • Sharing personal information, photographs, recordings, or private conversations without appropriate consent where privacy is expected.

  • Ignoring reasonable health or safety measures that may place others at risk.

  • Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.

  • Any conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or unsafe environment.

Reporting Concerns

Anyone who experiences or witnesses behaviour inconsistent with this Code of Conduct is encouraged to report it promptly.

Reports may be submitted confidentially by email to merhaba@labirenta.com. If appropriate, concerns may also be addressed directly to the Project Director at volkangenc@labirenta.com.

All reports will be handled:

  • Respectfully and without prejudice.

  • Promptly and fairly.

  • With appropriate confidentiality whenever possible.

  • Without retaliation against individuals reporting concerns in good faith.

Investigation and Response

Every reported concern is reviewed individually.

Depending on the nature and severity of the incident, appropriate actions may include:

  • Informal resolution where appropriate.

  • Formal investigation.

  • Mediation.

  • Removal from an activity or event.

  • Suspension or termination of participation or collaboration.

  • Referral to relevant authorities where legally required.

We reserve the right to refuse participation or discontinue collaboration with individuals whose behaviour violates this Code of Conduct.

Working with Partners

We expect collaborating organisations, suppliers, contractors, sponsors, and project partners to uphold standards consistent with this Code of Conduct.

We seek to work with organisations that share our commitment to integrity, inclusion, safeguarding, and respectful collaboration.

Recruitment and Volunteers

Individuals working with the project are selected based on professional qualifications, experience, and alignment with our values.

Where appropriate, references may be requested during recruitment or volunteer onboarding.

All team members, contractors, and volunteers are expected to understand and follow this Code of Conduct.

Continuous Improvement

We regularly review our working practices and welcome feedback that helps strengthen our safeguarding, integrity, inclusion, and professional standards.

Policy Owner

This policy applies to all Soundtrack of the Plastic Age project activities taking place in Antalya during COP31, including performances, workshops, rehearsals, meetings, and related public events.
